Selection of a Maturity Model for Construction Project Management

Resumen
El artículo presenta una revisión comparativa de modelos de madurez en la gestión de proyectos, con la finalidad de identificar el modelo más adecuado para una organización colombiana del sector de plantas de tratamiento de agua. El estudio fue desarrollado bajo un enfoque cualitativo y exploratorio, mediante una revisión documental sistemática y la aplicación de una matriz multicriterio para evaluar cinco modelos de madurez ampliamente reconocidos en la literatura: OPM3, P3M3, CMMI, IPMA DELTA y KPMMM. La comparación se realizó con base en criterios de cobertura organizacional, aplicabilidad sectorial, inclusión de la gestión del riesgo, costo de implementación, actualización metodológica y estructura organizacional requerida. Los resultados evidencian que el modelo OPM3, propuesto por el Project Management Institute, presenta la mayor coherencia con las características y necesidades del sector analizado, al integrar de manera estructurada la gestión de portafolios, programas y proyectos y alinearse con los objetivos estratégicos de la organización. El estudio aporta un enfoque replicable para la selección de modelos de madurez en contextos de infraestructura y construcción en América Latina.
